TeacherActive is working with a welcoming primary school in NG24, Nottingham, seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for day-to-day supply cover. You’ll work alongside a supportive staff team to help pupils feel encouraged, included and ready to learn.
What the role involves:
•
Supporting the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities.
•
Providing individual and small-group support across primary year groups.
•
Helping pupils develop their literacy, numeracy and social skills.
•
Adapting support for different learning needs, including SEND.
•
Encouraging positive behaviour and participation.
•
Maintaining a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom.
The successful applicant will have:
•
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or experience supporting children in a primary school.
•
An understanding of the primary curriculum.
•
A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach.
•
Confidence supporting pupils with different abilities and needs.
•
Strong communication and behaviour support skills.
•
Reliability and flexibility for day-to-day cover.
