Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a Supervisory Assistant Level 1 to ensure the safety and welfare of pupils on the school site during the mid-day break at our Early Years site.

Duties of the role include:

• Supervision of pupils taking a school meal as well as other pupils on the school site during the mid-day break.

• Maintaining discipline throughout the lunchtimes break in accordance with guidance given by the Head Teacher and to report back accordingly.

• Recording incidents using the MIS and behaviour management procedures, such as incident book or accident book, in order to fulfil legal obligations.

• The supervision of pupils returning to the premises at the end of the mid-day break.

This post is part time working Monday to Friday 11am - 1.30pm, and is term time only plus 3 training days.

We are looking for a colleague who has:

• Experience working in a similar role in a school setting.

• Ability to develop positive relationships with children and work with them to promote high standards of behaviour and cooperation.

• NVQ level 1 or equivalent in English and Maths or experience in relevant discipline/job role.

• Ability to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
