We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Lecturer to join our successful curriculum team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or Early Years professional to help develop the next generation of childcare and education practitioners.
You will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across our Early Years programmes, particularly at Level 1 and Level 2, supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for successful progression into employment, apprenticeships or further study. Working within a supportive team, you will contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement, learner support and industry engagement activities.

Duties
As an Early Years Lecturer, you will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching across Early Years programmes, with a particular focus on Levels 1 and 2.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning activities that inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Act as a Personal Tutor, providing academic guidance, pastoral support and helping students achieve positive outcomes.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that supports learner engagement and success.
- Contribute to the organisation and monitoring of student work placements within Early Years settings.
- Support learners through regular assessment, feedback and progress reviews.
- Ensure students understand programme expectations and are fully supported throughout their studies.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, course evaluation and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Act as Course Leader for designated programmes where required, overseeing assessment, quality assurance and awarding body compliance.
- Monitor attendance, achievement and learner progress, implementing interventions where necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, schools, nurseries and industry partners.
- Participate in open events, careers fairs, parents' evenings and recruitment activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching practices and outstanding learner experiences.
Experience
We are seeking candidates who have:
- A relevant qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Education or a related subject.
- Industry experience within an Early Years or Childcare setting.
- Knowledge of current Early Years practice, legislation and industry developments.
- Teaching experience within Further Education, schools, training environments or a willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
- A passion for supporting learners and helping them achieve their goals.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to inspire, engage and motivate students from a wide range of backgrounds.
