Still Love Teaching, But Looking For A Different Way To Do It?

Not every child can currently access learning in a classroom. And not every experienced teacher wants their next role to look like traditional classroom teaching.

SEND Inclusion Support is looking for a qualified teacher with strong SEND experience to deliver individual education to children and young people across Maghull, Sefton and North Liverpool.

You'll work predominantly 1:1, supporting pupils who need education to meet them where they are - sometimes quite literally.

Teaching may take place at home, in the community or within another agreed learning environment.

Who Will You Teach?

The young people you support may have:

- Autism

- SEMH needs

- EBSA and anxiety

- ADHD

- Communication difficulties

- Complex SEND

- Experienced extended periods away from education

- Found mainstream education difficult to access

For some, getting back to learning may begin with rebuilding trust, confidence and routine and for others, you'll be ready to move further into structured curriculum learning.

Your teaching needs to respond to the pupil in front of you.

You Bring The Teaching Expertise. We Give You The Framework.

Working individually doesn't mean working alone. You'll use SEND Inclusion Support's bespoke Nurture Curriculum, a semi-formal curriculum developed specifically for pupils who may not currently be able to access mainstream education.

It provides the structure and progression behind your teaching while still giving you the flexibility to adapt sessions around each pupil's needs, interests and starting point.

You won't be left to plan everything from scratch either.

You'll have:

- Paid planning time

- Curriculum resources and guidance

- Regular specialist support

- Weekly reporting and communication

- Termly Nurture Teacher Days

- Access to a wider network of experienced SEND professionals

This Could Suit You If - you're a qualified teacher who has built substantial SEND experience and now wants to use that expertise in a different way.

You may already have worked within a special school, alternative provision, SEND unit or mainstream SEND provision, or have significant experience supporting pupils with autism, SEMH, EBSA or complex needs.

You'll need:

- QTS

- Strong SEND experience

- Excellent relationship-building skills

- Confidence teaching independently on a 1:1 basis

- Creativity and flexibility in your teaching

- Confidence working across home and community environments

- An understanding that progress won't always begin with an academic target

This is an opportunity to step away from whole-class teaching without stepping away from education.

If you'd like to use your teaching experience to help individual children and young people re-engage with learning, rebuild confidence and make progress at a pace that works for them, we'd love to hear from you.
