Location: Liverpool, Merseyside
Rate: £26-£32 per hour
Hours: Flexible / part-time

Are you a qualified teacher who wants to use your teaching experience differently?
SEND Inclusion Support is looking for an experienced Nurture Teacher to provide bespoke 1:1 education to children and young people across Liverpool who are struggling to access traditional education.
This is not a traditional classroom teaching role.
You will work with an individual pupil, building a strong relationship and creating learning around their needs, interests, communication style and current level of engagement.
You may be supporting a young person who is:
- Unable to attend mainstream school
- Experiencing EBSA or significant anxiety around education
- Waiting for a specialist SEND placement
- Re-engaging with education following a period of absence
- Working towards an appropriate next step in their education
- Presenting with autism, ADHD, SEMH or other SEND
Sessions may take place in the home, community or another agreed learning environment.
You will deliver our bespoke Nurture Curriculum, a semi-formal curriculum designed for pupils who may not currently be able to access mainstream education. It provides structure and progression while allowing you the professional freedom to adapt learning around the individual.

- Termly Nurture Teacher Days to share practice, ideas and resources with other teachers
- Ongoing guidance when working in the community
You won't be expected to create everything from scratch.
- QTS
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- A genuine understanding of individualised teaching
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Confidence working independently in community settings
- A calm, flexible and creative approach
- Experience of autism, SEMH, EBSA or complex SEND would be highly beneficial
