Ashley Court Care Home is looking for a compassionate, dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our caring team.
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, while also supporting and guiding other members of the care team.
Key responsibilities
Providing person-centred care and support to residents
Assisting residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily activities
Supporting residents to maintain their dignity, independence and choice
Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting any concerns appropriately
Completing accurate care records and documentation
Administering medication where trained and authorised to do so
Supporting care staff and helping to coordinate daily duties
Leading by example and promoting high standards of care
Communicating effectively with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals
Supporting the Home Manager and senior team with the smooth running of the home
Following safeguarding, health and safety and infection-control procedures
About you
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working in a care or healthcare setting
Has a genuine passion for caring for older people
Is confident, reliable and organised
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Can work effectively as part of a team
Is able to take responsibility and provide guidance to other care staff
Understands the importance of dignity, privacy and person-centred care
Is willing to undertake relevant training and development
A relevant care qualification, such as an NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, is desirable.
