For questions about this job, contact: Name: Penny North-Lewis Position: Advanced Clinical Pharmacist Email: penny.north-lewis@nhs.net Phone number: 0113 3922743 Shortlisting Date: 22nd October 2026 Interview Date: 30th October or 2nd November 2026 Job Summary This post is based in the pharmacy, children's out-patient clinics and on the specialist ward at Leeds General Infirmary, although you may be required to work at other sites to support the service when necessary The main duties for the post holder, alongside those outlined in the job description are: To be part of the highly specialised clinical pharmacy service to paediatric liver and renal transplant recipients, primarily in an MDT out-patient setting, supporting medicines optimisation and patient centred care. To co-develop and manage the day-to-day homecare provision of immunosuppression for all paediatric solid-organ transplant patients across the region/North of England, linking with the homecare hub to create an effective and efficient service. This will also include communication with GPs and community pharmacists to ensure continuity of care across the interface. To work collaboratively with the paediatric liver and renal pharmacy team and wider MDT, to support medicines management of in-patients and develop the role of the Specialised Clinical Pharmacy Technician. Why you should join our Team - Our paediatric pharmacy team is an integral part of Leeds Children's Hospital with a strong focus on patient centred care. - The liver and renal transplant pharmacy team is undergoing a significant restructure to enable a growth in our service to the specialty. - Leeds Children's Hospital runs one of only three quaternary paediatric liver transplant centres in the UK, meaning this post is a unique opportunity to collaborate with and contribute to a highly specialised multidisciplinary team. - The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work closely with a motivated and highly experienced paediatric consultant pharmacist in setting up and delivering an exciting new service. What you will bring to the role You will be able to contribute to service development projects, leading on technical aspects. You will have excellent prioritisations skills and be able to work well under pressure. You will be able to work independently as well as being an integral part of the team You will have excellent communication skills - with parents/carers and children as well as the rest of the healthcare team, including GPs and community pharmacists.
