Summary

Our client, a leading accident repair group in York, is seeking a skilled MET Technician to join their busy and expanding accident repair centre. The role of an MET Technician is vital in delivering high-quality vehicle repairs while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals to develop their careers within a modern, well-equipped workshop.

Duties of the MET Technician:

- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs to a high standard on a variety of vehicle types

- Replace and refit mechanical components, including hybrid and electric vehicle parts

- Use industry-approved repair methods, particularly for ADAS and EV systems

- Conduct thorough quality checks and self-assessments to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards

- Maintain tools and equipment in accordance with health and safety policies

- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE requirements

Requirements of the MET Technician:

- Proven experience as an MET Technician within an automotive repair environment

- Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes, including electrical and mechanical systems

- Familiarity with ADAS, hybrid, and electric vehicle repairs

- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure

- Capable of completing tasks from start to finish within set timeframes

- Excellent teamwork and safety awareness
