Summary
The post holder will join the existing team of consultants and will participate in the on-call rota. Overall responsibilities include the co-ordination and delivery of the strategic and operational aspects of the Urology Services across Sunderland and South Tyneside and the wider sub-regional catchment area. These will reflect National and Local priorities including the strategic direction of STSFT and the Directorate of Urology. The post holder is expected to possess CCT or equivalent and to be on the GMC Specialist Register at the time of taking up the post. The post holder is expected to attend Directorate meetings and take part in Audit and Clinical Governance. Audit takes place monthly on a rolling half day. The post-holder will undergo annual appraisal, as do all medical staff in the Directorate. The post holder will also be expected to develop the Service in keeping with National guidance.
