About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable
Tracked Dumper Driver to join our site team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating tracked dumpers safely and efficiently, transporting and tipping materials around construction and earthworks sites.
You will work closely with groundworkers, site supervisors and other plant operators to ensure materials are moved safely and work is completed efficiently and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate tracked dumpers in accordance with manufacturer instructions and site requirements.
- Transport and tip soil, stone, aggregates, spoil and other materials around site.
- Carry out daily pre-start checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Operate machinery safely on varying ground conditions, gradients and confined areas.
- Follow site traffic management plans, exclusion zones and safe systems of work.
- Work effectively alongside other plant operators and groundworkers.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area around the machine.
- Ensure loads are transported safely and within the machine's operating capacity.
- Assist with general site duties when required.
- Comply with all company, site and health & safety procedures.
- Report any incidents, near misses, hazards or equipment defects to the appropriate supervisor.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating tracked dumpers on construction, civil engineering or earthworks sites.
- Relevant plant operator certification, such as
- Good understanding of construction site health and safety procedures.
- Ability to carry out basic daily plant checks.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Good awareness of surrounding personnel, plant and site hazards.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely with minimal supervision.
- Full driving licence desirable but not essential, depending on site requirements.
CPCS or NPORS, where required.
