Summary

Hours: 9:00am–3:00pm initially, with potential for additional days

Pay: Negotiable depending on experience

Luma Education Recruitment is recruiting for a Part-Time Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a young person in Swindon, combining education, learning support and sports-based activities outside of a traditional school setting.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Sports Coach, PE Assistant, Sports Graduate, Youth Worker or experienced education professional who enjoys taking a practical and active approach to supporting young people.

The Role

Provide 1:1 teaching assistant and learning support

Support with schoolwork and educational activities

Help maintain engagement with learning outside of a traditional classroom

Support with PE, sport and physical activities

Take part in activities such as football, fishing and other outdoor interests

Build a positive, consistent and trusting relationship with the young person

Encourage confidence, communication and positive engagement

About You

We're looking for someone who is active, patient, reliable and engaging, with a genuine interest in education and supporting young people.

Experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, SEN TA, PE Assistant, Sports Coach, Learning Mentor, Youth Worker or Tutor would be beneficial. Experience supporting young people with SEN, SEMH or additional learning needs is also desirable.

A full UK driving licence and Enhanced DBS on the Update Service are essential.
