Summary

Nurture Teacher - SEND Outreach & Re-Engagement

Location: Westhoughton, Greater Manchester

Rate: £26-£32 per hour

Hours: Flexible / part-time

Start Date: ASAP

Are you an experienced teacher who wants to work more closely with individual young people?

SEND Inclusion Support is looking for a Nurture Teacher to provide specialist 1:1 education across Westhoughton and surrounding areas.

You'll support pupils who may have struggled to access mainstream education and need a more flexible, personalised approach.

Our pupils may have:

Autism

SEMH

EBSA

Anxiety

ADHD

Communication needs

Complex SEND

Extended periods of non-attendance

You'll build a relationship first, then use that relationship to create meaningful engagement with education.

You'll have access to our bespoke Nurture Curriculum, designed as a semi-formal curriculum for pupils who may not currently be able to access mainstream education.

You'll receive:

Regular specialist support

Termly Nurture Teacher Days

Support from our wider SEND team

So although you may work independently in the community, you are never working in isolation.

QTS

SEND teaching experience

A strong relationship-led approach

Confidence adapting teaching

Flexibility and creativity

Experience of autism, SEMH, EBSA or complex SEND
