About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Childcare Lead to join our team at New Close Primary School in Warminster on a fixed term contract, leading our breakfast and after-school club provision. This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys working with primary-aged children and thrives in a position of responsibility. You will take the lead in creating a safe, structured and engaging environment where children can relax, play and develop outside of the classroom day.
As Childcare Leader, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a variety of fun, inclusive activities, while ensuring high standards of behaviour management, organisation and care. You will play a key role in building strong relationships with children, school staff and families, helping to create a welcoming club that children look forward to attending each day.
This opportunity would suit someone reliable, organised and confident in leading sessions independently, with a passion for providing high-quality childcare in a supportive school setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the daily running of the before and after-school club
• Plan and deliver a range of engaging activities supporting children’s development
• Ensure the safety, well-being and enjoyment of all children in your care
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, school staff and colleagues
• Manage the set-up and pack-down of sessions, maintaining a clean, safe and inviting environment
• Maintain accurate records, including registers and incident logs
• Follow all safeguarding, health and safety and company policies
• Support and mentor other team members to ensure consistently high-quality provision
