Summary

HR Advisor

Salary: £40,444 to £45,529 per annum Grade: F15

Contract: 18-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent Reports to: Senior HR Advisor

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week at EMCCA HQ in Chesterfield Directorate: Resources

Closing date: 13 October 2026 Proposed interview date: Week commencing 26 October 2026

The successful candidate will normally be appointed at the minimum point of the salary band, unless exceptional circumstances apply.

About the role

As HR Advisor, you will provide practical, responsive and high-quality advice to managers and employees across EMCCA. You will manage your own employee relations caseload, helping managers apply policies fairly and consistently and take ownership of their day-to-day people responsibilities.

You will work closely with the Senior HR Advisor and the wider HR and Organisational Development team. You will know when to act independently and when to escalate a sensitive, complex or higher-risk matter. Alongside casework, you will support organisational and workforce activity and contribute to improvements in our policies, guidance and ways of working.
