Summary

Senior HR Advisor

Salary: £45,529 to £50,908 per annum Grade: F16

Contract: 18-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent Reports to: HR Operations & Services Partner

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week at EMCCA HQ in Chesterfield Directorate: Resources

Closing date: 13 October 2026 Proposed interview date: Week commencing 26 October 2026

The successful candidate will normally be appointed at the minimum point of the salary band, unless exceptional circumstances apply.

About the role

As Senior HR Advisor, you will work with the HR Operations & Services Partner to build EMCCA’s ER function. Providing confident, practical and solutions-focused advice to managers and senior leaders. You will take ownership of complex employee relations work, helping people make sound decisions that balance employee experience, employment requirements and organisational risk.

You will also support organisational development and workforce activity as EMCCA evolves. This will include advising on restructures, consultation and changes to roles or services where these arise, alongside contributing to wider priorities such as management capability, workforce planning, recruitment, retention and HR policy. You will also contribute to organisational change and workforce activity, including TUPE and organisational integration where relevant.

You will line manage and support the HR Advisor, helping to build capability and maintain a consistent, high-quality service.
