Pay: £130-£170 per day, depending on experience
Cover People are currently recruiting for an EYFS Teacher to join a primary school in Wythenshawe.
This is a specific opportunity within a welcoming and inclusive primary setting, suited to a teacher who is confident working with children in the Early Years and can create a positive, stimulating environment where pupils can develop their confidence, communication and independence.
You will take responsibility for the teaching and learning of an EYFS class, delivering an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
The role will involve:
- Planning and delivering high-quality learning experiences across the EYFS curriculum
- Providing a balance of adult-led activities and purposeful learning through play
- Supporting children's communication, language and early literacy development
- Developing early mathematical understanding through practical and engaging activities
- Promoting pupils' personal, social and emotional development
- Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
- Adapting provision to meet the individual needs of children
- Working effectively with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team
- Monitoring children's progress and using observations and assessment to inform teaching
- Building positive relationships with pupils and their families
- Supporting children to become confident, independent learners
The school is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher who understands the importance of creating strong foundations for children's future learning.
You should have:
- QTS or an appropriate teaching qualification
- Recent experience teaching within EYFS or Reception
- Good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
- Strong classroom-management skills
- A child-centred and nurturing approach
- The ability to plan engaging and purposeful learning experiences
- Confidence adapting teaching to suit individual children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High expectations for children's learning, development and behaviour
Experience supporting children with additional needs would also be beneficial.
