Summary
Primary Early Career Teacher
Location: Tameside
Start Date: ASAP
Role: Day-to-day and short-term supply, with potential for longer-term opportunities
Pay: £130-£170 per day, depending on experience
Cover People are currently looking for Primary Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work across primary schools in Tameside.
This is an ideal opportunity for ECTs looking for flexible day-to-day and short-term teaching work, while gaining experience across different school settings. There is also potential for longer-term placements where schools have an ongoing need.
As a Primary ECT working through Cover People, you could be supporting schools across a range of year groups and settings. Depending on the booking, you may be:
- Covering planned teacher absences
- Teaching lessons across the primary curriculum
- Taking responsibility for a class on a day-to-day basis
- Delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons
- Supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Working alongside teaching assistants and other school staff
- Following existing planning where provided
- Adapting activities to meet the needs of individual pupils
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
We're keen to hear from Primary ECTs who are looking to build their teaching experience and gain exposure to different schools across Tameside.
You should have:
- QTS or an appropriate teaching qualification
- Experience teaching in a primary school through placements or previous roles
- A positive and adaptable approach
- Strong classroom management skills
- Confidence delivering lessons independently
- A genuine commitment to supporting pupils' learning and development
- The ability to quickly build positive relationships within new school environments
- Day-to-day and short-term primary teaching opportunities
- Potential for longer-term placements
- Work across primary schools in Tameside
- £130-£170 per day depending on experience
