Summary

Vehicle Technician – New Southgate

We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Technician, MOT Tester, Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician to join a busy dealership workshop in New Southgate. Applicants must hold a current MOT Testing Licence, have strong hands-on servicing and mechanical repair experience, hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. This is not an MOT testing-only position.

Job Details:

Location: New Southgate

Salary: £35,000 basic + bonus

OTE: Up to £60,000 – uncapped

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 - 6, Saturdays on a rota

Vehicle Technician Role

- Carry out MOT tests alongside servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs

- Inspect vehicles and identify worn or damaged components

- Diagnose mechanical faults accurately and efficiently

- Complete repairs to manufacturer standards and guidelines

- Provide technical advice to customers where required

- Work closely with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers to maintain workflow

- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and customer service

Vehicle Technician Requirements

- Current valid MOT Testing Licence – essential

- Strong hands-on Vehicle Technician or Mechanic experience

- Willing and able to complete mechanical work alongside MOT testing

- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent – preferred

- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability

- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high technical standards

- Full and valid UK Driving Licence – essential

- Right to work in the UK
