Northop Hall Primary SchoolRole Description – Mid – Day Supervisor Post Title: Mid - Day SupervisorReporting to: Senior mid-day supervisor Position: To work from 12:00 p.m. – to 1:00 p.m. Monday to Friday (5 hours per week)Part time, temporary and term time only (38 weeks)Salary Details: 2.7 Mid-Day Supervisory Assistant , G01 scp SCP 03-04 (From £25,614 To £26,016 Pro Rata)Employment Start Date: As soon as possible Closing Date: 12th October 2026Main Purposes of Role:• To ensure, individually and as part of a team, the welfare and safety of school children remaining within school grounds or buildings during lunch times.Key responsibilities:• To supervise children on school premises and grounds.• To supervise children whilst having lunch at the school.• To use initiative in monitoring events occurring on the school premises and grounds.• To encourage games, activities and social interaction• To report any relevant matters or dangers to the Lead Mid-Day Supervisor• To ensure a safe environment (e.g. by reporting physical hazards to the Lead Mid-Day Supervisor such as dangers identified on playground etc)• To be prepared to become a school first aider and to treat minor injuries when required• To undertake ancillary duties including setting up and clearing away tables, cleaning tables and dining area).• To promote safeguarding policies and procedures• To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the Role, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training.• Be a role model for children treating them with respect and promoting school ethics and behaviour policy.• Be discreet at all times.
