Summary

Contract: 12-month fixed term Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am5:00 pm (day shifts) Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, Band 2; £25,272 per annum Location: Marie Curie Hospice, West Midlands What you will be doing Support managers and leaders by organising meetings, preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes, and maintaining action logs Deliver a range of administrative tasks including photocopying, proofreading, scanning, filing, and document collation Draft basic correspondence for internal and external contacts, ensuring clarity and professionalism Maintain confidentiality while supporting day-to-day service operations, including data entry into IT systems Answer incoming calls and manage external enquiries professionally, ensuring they are directed appropriately and handled efficiently Use Microsoft Office applications and MS Teams regularly to support communication and workflow Manage incoming and outgoing mail, and arrange travel and accommodation bookings Use clinical record systems to log referrals, discharges, and maintain clinic lists and appointments What we are looking for Experience working in an administrative role or within a customer-facing environment Up-to-date knowledge of administrative procedures, including accurate minute-taking and meeting support Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and confident using wider systems to support service delivery Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to working within a team A flexible and adaptable attitude, with the ability to respond to changing service needs Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a proactive and professional mindset What's in it for you Annual leave allowance 27 days plus 8 public holidays (pro-rata) Marie Curie Contributary Pension Scheme Continuous Professional development (Marie Curie supports and encourages personal and professional development) Industry leading training programmes Benefits you will love Defined contribution schemes for Pension (the charity will match your contribution up to 7.5%) Marie Curie Group Personal Pension Scheme Help with eyecare cost (T & Cs apply) Entitled to Benefit Hub Discount Scheme 15% discount in Marie Curie shops Entitled to Marie Curie Blue Light Card Life assurance Application Process Closing date for applications: 11 October 2026 As part of your online application, you will be asked for a CV.
