Summary

About the role

Securitay Limited is looking for a professional, reliable and organised Control Room Operator to join our team at our Broughty Ferry office.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy operational environment, communicating with people and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

As a Control Room Operator, you'll play an important role in supporting our security operations. You'll monitor CCTV, coordinate communications, support emergency response activity, monitor lone workers and deal with incoming calls and emails.

While previous experience within the security industry is valuable, we're particularly interested in people who are calm under pressure, confident communicators, highly organised and able to take responsibility for their work.

You'll be joining an established organisation where accuracy, professionalism and teamwork are important every day.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing a job properly and who can remain professional and composed in a busy environment.

You should be:

Organised and able to prioritise competing tasks.

A confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.

Calm under pressure and capable of dealing with challenging situations.

Reliable and conscientious, with excellent attention to detail.

Comfortable working independently while also being part of a wider team.

Professional and trustworthy, with the ability to handle confidential information.

Flexible and willing to learn new systems and processes.

Experience & skills

Previous experience in a busy administrative, operational or control-room environment would be beneficial.

Experience within the security industry and knowledge of relevant security services and legislation would also be advantageous.

You'll need to be comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly:

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Word

You'll also use our scheduling and operational systems. Full training will be provided, so you don't need to know our systems before joining us.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to take ownership of their responsibilities.
