Role Overview

We are seeking dedicated Charity Workers and Volunteers to strengthen our logistics, foodbank operations, and community outreach programmes. This role is central to ensuring that essential supplies reach individuals and families who rely on our support.

This is a meaningful opportunity for compassionate individuals who desire to make a tangible difference in the community.

Key Responsibilities

1. Logistics & Deliveries

• Support drivers with the collection and delivery of essential items, food parcels, groceries, and supplies from partner warehouses, retailers, and organisations.

• Assist with safe loading, unloading, and handling of goods.

2. Foodbank Operations

• Sort, organise, and prepare:

o Food parcels

o Groceries

o Frozen and chilled items

o Bakery products

o Clothing materials

• Ensure items are arranged efficiently for distribution to service users.

3. Community Outreach Support

• Participate in outreach activities across Newham, Waltham Forest, and neighbouring communities.

• Engage with service users respectfully, offering support with dignity and compassion.

4. Distribution of Materials

• Assist with distributing articles, leaflets, tracts, and evangelism materials during outreach and community events.

5. Venue & Event Support

• Help arrange halls, event centres, and places of worship for programmes, services, and community activities.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment.
