If so, we'd love to hear from you.We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and proactive Pastoral Lead to join our team at R.E.A.L. Independent Schools. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our provision, supporting the wellbeing, personal development and success of our students — many of whom have complex needs, SEND profiles, or barriers to learning.About the RoleAs our Pastoral Lead, you will play a central role in creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where students can thrive. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, parents/carers and external agencies to remove barriers to learning and ensure every young person feels supported, valued and heard.Your work will include:Providing daily pastoral and wellbeing supportOffering conflict resolution, mediation and de-briefsDelivering 1:1 interventions and tutorial supportSupporting attendance, behaviour and safeguarding processesFacilitating student voice activities including student council, questionnaires and meetingsSupporting PSHE delivery and whole-school wellbeing initiativesBuilding strong, positive relationships with parents, carers and the wider communityAttending multi-agency and safeguarding meetingsRecording, monitoring and analysing pastoral data to inform student programmesProviding cover and line management where requiredYou will be a key figure in shaping a therapeutic, welcoming environment where students feel safe, respected and empowered.What We're Looking ForWe'd love to hear from you if you have:A Level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant areaEnglish and Maths at Level 2Driving licence and access to a vehicle Extensive experience in a pastoral or wellbeing roleExperience supporting young people with SEND, ASC or mental health needsA strong understanding of safeguarding in educationThe ability to remain calm, reflective and solution-focused in challenging situationsExperience using a range of strategies to de-escalate behaviourA collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary teamExperience in a school, AP or college environment is desirable but not essential.How to apply?Please complete an online application form in full, remembering to include all employment and education details.
