Summary

The successful candidate will join our team and work in the screening assessment clinics and symptomatic new patient clinics. You will attend and present in the Breast multidisciplinary meetings. Bolton Breast Unit actively participates in training and we regularly have Breast registrars, trainee mammographers and medical students. The Breast radiology commitment will include screening film reading, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and CT work. Other subspecialty interests will be accommodated within the job plan. A full-time contract will include 1.5 Programmed Activities (PAs) for Supporting Professional Activities and 1 PA for 7 day working (1 in 16 joining the Registrar on-call rota). Upon taking up the post, the successful candidate will agree a job plan and work programme; the actual timetable is open to negotiation and will be decided by mutual agreement. A commitment to working flexibly within the 7-day service will be expected. Annual appraisal, participation in clinical audit, and continuing professional development are contractual requirements.
