Your New Role:

As a Health and Social Care Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Health and Social Care programmes, helping students develop both their academic knowledge and practical understanding of the sector.

Key responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering high-quality Health and Social Care lessons.

Teaching students across a range of levels and abilities.

Creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback.

Preparing learners for examinations, coursework, and future employment opportunities.

Promoting positive behaviour and high levels of attendance.

Working collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery and student success.

Contributing to the wider life of the department and college community.

This is a full-time temporary position, working five days per week, with the potential to become longer term for the right candidate.

What You'll Need to Succeed: To be successful in this Health and Social Care teaching role, you will ideally have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, Cert Ed, or an equivalent teaching qualification.

A degree or relevant qualification in Health and Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, Healthcare, or a related subject.

Experience teaching Health and Social Care within a school, college, or further education setting.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

A passion for education and supporting learners to achieve their goals.

The ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students of varying abilities.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are strongly encouraged to apply.
