Summary

The successful candidate will: provide senior clinical leadership across the Groups wider Estates and Capital portfolio; contribute to strategic estate planning and prioritisation from a clinical and workforce perspective; ensure clinical strategy and future models of care inform capital investment decisions; lead clinical workforce transformation associated with major estate and capital developments; support Care Groups to develop future workforce establishments, skill mix, leadership models and mobilisation plans; ensure nursing, midwifery, AHP and wider clinical teams are meaningfully involved in design and estate decisions; provide clinical assurance throughout design, refurbishment, construction, commissioning and opening; lead the clinical component of operational readiness and workforce mobilisation; contribute to strategic outline cases, outline business cases, full business cases and capital prioritisation processes; identify and escalate clinical, workforce and operational risks associated with estate developments; provide advice and assurance to the Group Chief Nurse and Estates and Capital governance; develop Group-wide clinical design and operational-readiness standards; support benefits realisation across the wider capital portfolio; lead research, benchmarking and post-occupancy evaluation; and ensure learning from individual schemes informs future estate developments across LCHG.
