A construction contractor with a large scheme just outside of Leeds centre is looking for an experienced internals Site Manager to join a student accommodation project.
Your new role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the internal works and multi-room delivery on a major student accommodation project. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating internal trades, driving the programme, maintaining quality standards and ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently across multiple rooms and floors.This role will involve managing subcontractors, overseeing first and second fix works, monitoring progress against programme, completing quality checks, managing snagging and ensuring a high standard of finish is achieved throughout the accommodation scheme.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Site Manager overseeing internals, fit-out or finishing packages on large residential, student accommodation, hotel or multi-room projects.
- Strong knowledge of internal trades, including drylining, M&E coordination, joinery, decorating, flooring, bathrooms, kitchens and final finishes.
- Ability to manage multiple rooms or plots at different stages of completion while maintaining the programme and quality.
- Confident managing subcontractors, daily coordination meetings, site records, snagging and handover processes.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications are preferred.
- A proactive, organised approach with strong communication skills and a clear focus on health, safety, quality and delivery.
