Children's Home Deputy Manager
Salary: £37,500 basic + sleep-ins + up to £1,000 annual performance bonus
Location: Bradford, BD14
Home Size: 3 Bed EBD – Full Capacity
Salary & Benefits
• £37,500 basic salary
• £50 per sleep-in, with an average of 8–10 sleep-ins per month
• Up to £1,000 annual performance bonus
• Potential earnings of £41,000+ including sleep-ins and bonus

What We're Looking For
• Solid experience working within children's residential care
• Previous experience in a senior or supervisory position is desirable
• Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, care planning and risk management
• Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and develop staff
• Child-centred, compassionate and resilient approach
• Understanding of Ofsted requirements and Children's Homes Regulations
• Strong communication, organisation and decision-making skills
• Commitment to therapeutic and nurturing approaches
• Willingness to work towards or complete a Level 5 qualification
Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the 3-bed EBD home
• Provide effective leadership and guidance to the residential childcare team
• Act as a positive role model and promote a therapeutic, nurturing environment
• Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance are maintained
• Support the Registered Manager in maintaining the home's strong Ofsted performance
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments and behaviour support
• Ensure young people's needs, wishes and feelings remain central to care delivery
• Support staff through supervision, guidance and ongoing development
• Help coordinate staffing, shifts and the smooth day-to-day operation of the home
• Monitor records, incidents and safeguarding concerns, escalating where appropriate
• Promote positive outcomes across education, wellbeing, independence and personal development
• Build positive relationships with young people, families, social workers and other professionals
• Contribute to quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement
• Deputise for the Registered Manager when required
