A welcoming and supportive primary school in Ashington is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term temporary basis with an immediate start.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who can inspire and motivate pupils during a crucial stage of their primary education, helping them achieve their full potential while preparing them for the transition to secondary school.

The Role

Full-time Year 6 teaching position

Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum

Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments while maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment

Plan, assess and monitor pupil progress effectively

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils

Create a classroom culture that promotes confidence, resilience and a love of learning

The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6

Strong classroom management skills

Excellent knowledge of the UK primary curriculum

Ability to raise attainment and support pupils with varying learning needs

Passionate, committed and adaptable approach to teaching

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Essential Requirements

Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service

Right to work in the UK

Recent and relevant teaching references
