Summary

SEVENOAKS SUBS LTD operates in the food service sector as a franchise outlet of Subway. As a franchise business, SEVENOAKS SUBS LTD follows Subway brand standards for freshness, quality ingredients, consistent product quality, clean preparation, customer service, and efficient day-to-day operations. The Kitchen and Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the company's purchasing, supplier relationships, stock availability, ingredient quality, kitchen supply planning, and procurement cost control. The role will also oversee kitchen stock systems, food storage controls, preparation planning, and compliance with franchise standards, hygiene requirements, and food safety procedures.

Main duties include:

• Manage the company's procurement and purchasing activities for food products and other food-service supplies required for daily operations.

• Source, assess, and manage suppliers to ensure reliable delivery, competitive pricing, consistent product quality, and compliance with Sevenoaks Subs Ltd and Subway franchise standards.

• Negotiate supplier prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, purchase quantities, and service standards to achieve cost-effective and efficient supply arrangements.

• Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, place orders, and maintain sufficient availability of ingredients and supplies to support walk-in, dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders.

• Implement stock-control procedures, including stock rotation, expiry-date checks, wastage monitoring, delivery checks, and accurate inventory records.

• Ensure all purchased goods meet required freshness, hygiene, allergen, food-safety, and quality standards before being accepted, stored, or used in preparation.

• Work with kitchen and service staff to maintain clean, organised, and efficient preparation and storage areas.

Skills and Education:

• Proven experience in kitchen management, food preparation, or a related role.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, organisation, and reporting skills, with the ability to

• manage suppliers, staff, costs, and stock records effectively

• Knowledge of stock management practices, inventory tracking.

• Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
