Our organisation recognises the value and contribution Allied Health Professionals make to the NHS as the third largest workforce. As such, Tameside and Glossop ICFT are taking part in the national AHP workforce supply project. This project seeks to support the professional development and growth of this workforce to meet the continually evolving needs of the populations these highly skilled practitioners serve. The service provides community based occupational therapy to children with additional and complex health needs, working closely with other professionals involved in the child’s care. We are part of a multi-agency team, which includes physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and nurses; providing specialist services to children and young people 0-19 years of age, which enables plenty of scope for integrated working. There will be an opportunity for all staff to be involved with the progression of universal and targeted levels of intervention, including the development of advice and training to educational settings.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist who has had significant experience of working with children and young people with additional needs. They will be committed to provide a holistic therapeutic and multi-agency approach to children and their families. Applicants will demonstrate excellent communication skills and be keen to work as a member of an integrated team.
