Senior Reinsurance Claims Adjuster (Casualty)

A highly regarded Reinsurer with an established presence in the London Market is seeking to appoint a Senior Reinsurance Claims Adjuster to join its expanding claims function.The organisation is recognised for its strong technical expertise across specialty and reinsurance lines, offering a collaborative and well-structured environment with exposure to complex international business.

Your new role

You will be responsible for handling a portfolio of complex and high-value Treaty Reinsurance Casualty claims, working across global accounts and programmes.

This is a technically focused role requiring a strong understanding of reinsurance structures and claims processes, including Excess of Loss and Proportional Treaty business. You will manage claims from notification through to resolution, ensuring accurate reserving, coverage analysis and timely settlement.

You will work closely with cedants, brokers, underwriters and other market stakeholders, providing clear communication and insight on claims developments, while supporting strategic decision-making across the portfolio.The role will also involve contributing to internal reporting, portfolio analysis and continuous improvement of claims processes, alongside acting as a senior technical point of contact within the team.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will have strong experience handling Reinsurance Claims within the London Market, with a clear focus on Casualty Treaty business.

You will demonstrate a solid understanding of reinsurance structures, claims coverage and reserving practices, with the ability to manage complex and international claims portfolios.Experience engaging with cedants and brokers is essential, alongside the ability to operate in a technically driven and collaborative environment. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively across stakeholders are key requirements.
