Monday to Thursday 7:30am until 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am until 12:30pm
Are you a skilled Welder / Fabricator looking for your next opportunity with an established engineering business in Newark?
We’re currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established steel fabrication and engineering company, who are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their busy workshop team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys a hands-on role and wants to become part of a skilled and friendly team.
The Role
As a Welder / Fabricator, you’ll be working on a variety of steel fabrication projects, producing high-quality components and finished products to customer specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
• MIG welding steel fabrications.
• Fabricating and assembling components.
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Measuring, cutting, fitting and preparing materials.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
• Carrying out visual checks of completed welds and fabrications.
• Using workshop machinery and equipment safely.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Working as part of a busy and supportive fabrication team.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and passionate about producing quality work.
You’ll ideally have:
• Previous welding and fabrication experience.
• Strong MIG welding skills.
• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail.
• A practical, hands-on approach.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A strong commitment to quality and health & safety.
• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
Time-served Welders/Fabricators are encouraged to apply.
TIG welding experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
