Administrative & Organisation Assistant / ReceptionistGrade 3 (SCP 4 £26,016 pro rata) - Actual Starting Salary: £18,185 30 Hours per Week | 39 Weeks per Year Temporary for One Year in the First Instance Start Date: As Soon As Possible Birchgrove Comprehensive School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and professional Administrative & Organisation Assistant/Receptionist to join our busy and friendly school community. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and has excellent administrative and organisational skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the school, providing reception, administrative and financial support services. About the RoleWorking under the direction of the School Business Manager, you will:Provide a welcoming and professional reception service for visitors, parents, staff and pupils.Answer telephone and face-to-face enquiries.Support pupil welfare and first aid requirements.Assist with the administration of school trips, events and lettings.Undertake a variety of clerical and administrative duties including filing, correspondence, record keeping and data management.Maintain computerised and manual records.Provide administrative support for Governing Body activities.Support routine financial administration, including processing orders.Work collaboratively with staff across the school to contribute to the efficient running of the organisation. We Are Looking For Someone Who Has: Experience of general clerical, administrative and/or financial work. Good literacy and numeracy skills.Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Good organisational skills and attention to detail.The ability to work effectively as part of a team.The ability to build positive relationships with both children and adults.NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
