Examinations OfficerBirchgrove Comprehensive School, SwanseaGrade 6 SCP 11-17 (£29,071 - £32,046 pro rata)Actual Starting Salary: £26,28637 Hours per Week, 41 Weeks per YearTemporary for One Year in the First InstanceStart Date: As Soon As Possible Birchgrove Comprehensive School is seeking to appoint a highly organised, professional and enthusiastic Examinations Officer to lead the administration and management of all internal and external examinations.This is a key role within the school, providing essential support to ensure that all examination processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and in full compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Curriculum Leaders, ALN staff and invigilators, you will coordinate all aspects of the examinations cycle from entries and access arrangements through to results and post-results services. About the RoleThe successful candidate will:Coordinate and manage all external and internal examinations.Administer examination entries, timetables, seating plans and results processing.Liaise with examination boards, staff, students, parents and external agencies.Manage and deploy the school's team of examination invigilators.Ensure compliance with all JCQ and awarding body regulations.Produce examination data, reports and statistical analysis.Support pupils with additional learning needs by coordinating access arrangements.Manage post-results services including reviews of marking and examination enquiries.Contribute to the ongoing development of examination systems, procedures and policies. The successful candidate must be available for a minimum of three days during August to assist with the processing and distribution of examination results.
