You will be a familiar and friendly face around the home, helping to serve food and drinks while taking the time to chat with residents and make them feel comfortable and valued.
This is a front-of-house, resident-facing role, so we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people, has a warm personality and takes pride in providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and interact with residents in a warm, friendly and respectful manner.
Serve tea, coffee, drinks, sandwiches, snacks and meals to residents.
Assist with serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and refreshments throughout the day.
Talk and engage with residents while serving them, helping to create a pleasant and sociable mealtime experience.
Ensure residents receive their meals and drinks in a timely and welcoming manner.
Help set up and clear dining areas before and after meals.
Keep dining and serving areas clean, tidy and presentable.

Work closely with the care and kitchen teams to ensure residents receive a positive mealtime experience.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Friendly, warm and approachable.
Naturally confident when speaking with people.
Patient, kind and respectful towards older people.
Comfortable chatting with residents and building positive relationships.
Reliable and well organised.
Presentable and professional.
Happy working as part of a team.
What You'll Bring to the Role
A smile, a friendly conversation and a cup of tea might seem like small things, but they can make a big difference to someone's day.
As a General Assistant, you will help make mealtimes something residents can look forward to, providing not just food and drinks but also companionship, conversation and a warm, welcoming experience.
