The role supports road freight operations and offers experienced HGV drivers the chance to undertake trunking work on a temporary, daytime basis.The roleWe are looking for a dependable HGV Class 1 Driver to join a busy transport operation. You will be responsible for completing planned trunking routes safely, efficiently and in line with relevant driving and road safety requirements.Key responsibilities• Drive an HGV Class 1 vehicle on trunking routes• Complete vehicle checks before and after each shift• Ensure loads are transported securely and safely• Follow delivery schedules, route instructions and site procedures• Complete required paperwork and vehicle records• Maintain a professional approach when dealing with site teamsSkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 1 licence• Previous trunking experience• Good knowledge of safe driving practices• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach• Ability to work independently and follow instructions• Good communication skills• Flexibility to work daytime shiftsWhat’s on offer• £18.00–£20.00 per hour• Temporary daytime work• Paid every Wednesday• Opportunity to be visible to local employers• Driving work based in the Caldicot areaIf you are an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver with trunking experience and are available for temporary daytime work, apply today.
