Summary

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Catering Manager to lead and develop Morley College London’s café and hospitality services across our Waterloo, Chelsea and North Kensington centres.This is a hands-on management role with responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our catering services, ensuring a consistently high-quality, efficient and customer-focused experience for students, staff, visitors and external customers.You will lead and support our cross-College catering teams, oversee staff rotas and performance, and develop our hot and cold food offer to meet the needs of each Centre. You will also take responsibility for budgets, sales and income targets, stock control, supplier relationships, food costings and waste management, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and grow the service.Food safety and compliance will be central to the role. You will ensure our catering operations meet all relevant Food Standards Agency, health and safety and allergen requirements, maintaining robust systems, records and consistently high standards across our sites.Working closely with the Facilities Manager, Estates team and colleagues across the College, you will also support hospitality for meetings and events and help shape the future development of Morley’s catering provision.About YouYou will have relevant experience managing catering or food service operations, ideally across multiple sites, and will be confident leading teams in a busy, customer-focused environment.You will bring strong knowledge of food safety and catering compliance, supported by a Level 3 Food Hygiene & Safety for Catering qualification or equivalent, and understand the systems and controls required to maintain high standards.You will also have experience of budget management, stock control and monitoring service performance against targets. Strong organisational, communication and people-management skills will be essential, along with the ability to use data and feedback to continuously improve the service.We are looking for someone who is practical, proactive and solutions-focused, with a genuine passion for excellent customer service.
