Summary

CLINICAL DEPUTY HOME MANAGER

PLEASE NOTE - We are NOT offering sponsorship and are currently unable to accept overseas applications.

We are looking for a Clinical Deputy Manager to join our friendly and well-established team. The current Deputy is retiring in early January, so the handover period would begin at the start of December 2026.

Relevant Clinical Deputy Manager Role

Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operational and clinical management of residential care services, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.

Act as the senior lead in the Registered Manager's absence, overseeing service delivery, staffing, and incident management.

Supervise, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams through regular supervisions, appraisals, performance management, and ongoing training.

Manage staff rotas, recruitment, induction processes, and workforce planning to ensure safe staffing levels and effective service provision.

Participate in the on-call rota, providing leadership and decision-making support during emergencies and out-of-hours situations.

Be willing to cover shifts on the units when needed.

Support the Home Manager in quality assurance audits, implement action plans, and monitor outcomes to drive continuous service improvement.

Support the Home Manager to ensure compliance with CIW regulations, safeguarding procedures, clinical governance frameworks, and organisational policies.

Support the Home Manager in investigating and managing safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints, and risk assessments to promote resident safety and wellbeing.

Support the Home Manager in working collaboratively with residents, families, commissioners, healthcare professionals, local authorities, and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Support the Nursing staff in promoting person-centred care by ensuring care plans, risk assessments, and support strategies were tailored to individual needs and preferences.

Support the Nursing staff in utilising electronic care planning and governance systems to monitor quality, compliance, and clinical outcomes.

Fostered a positive, inclusive, and values-led culture focused on respect, compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Professional Profile Summary

This position is for a Clinical Deputy Manager, so you must hold an NMC registration. Newtown is classed as a rural town, so you must also hold a valid driving licence to enable you to get to work.

Ideally, you should have experience as a Deputy Manager with over three years' leadership experience within regulated health and social care services. Skilled in operational management, clinical governance, staff development, CIW compliance, safeguarding, and quality assurance. Passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care and supporting multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent outcomes for individuals with complex care, neurological, mental health, and behavioural support needs. Recognised for building positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The shift pattern will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with a contracted 30-hour week. This can be spread over a fourth day if needed; however, you may need to cover nursing shifts on days outside of these. You would need to cover management calls on a Sunday and be part of the clinical on-call rota every 6-8 weeks.

Salary: £25.00 per hour
