Mechanical Construction Manager - Rail

Location: West London

Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 + Package

Job Type: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced

Mechanical Construction Manager to join a leading contractor delivering major projects across

West London.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in

mechanical construction management, with proven experience working on both

commercial fit-out and rail projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical works from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

• Lead and coordinate mechanical subcontractors and site teams.

• Oversee installation of HVAC, ventilation, pipework, public health and associated mechanical services.

• Coordinate mechanical works with other trades and project teams.

• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

• Review drawings, specifications, programmes and RAMS.

• Attend progress meetings and provide regular project updates.

• Manage testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical systems.

Experience Required

• Previous experience as a

Mechanical Construction Manager / Mechanical Project Manager / Senior Mechanical Site Manager.

•

Strong commercial fit-out experience is essential, particularly CAT A/CAT B, office or similar refurbishment projects.

•

Previous rail project experience is essential – candidates must have worked within a rail environment and understand the relevant site, safety and operational requirements.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services, including

HVAC, ventilation, pipework and public health.

• Experience managing subcontractors and mechanical site teams.

• Strong understanding of health & safety, quality and programme requirements.

• Relevant mechanical qualifications and site-based certifications.
