HLTA – EAL & Interventions
Full-Time Long-Term Opportunity October Start Available

Duties as an HLTA:
- Deliver targeted EAL support and intervention programmes
- Work with individual pupils and small groups across Key Stages 1 and 2
- Support pupils in developing confidence in spoken and written English
- Deliver literacy and numeracy intervention sessions
- Monitor and track pupil progress
- Liaise with teachers and SEND/EAL staff to support learning outcomes
- Occasionally cover lessons where required
- Help remove barriers to learning and promote pupil achievement
Ideal HLTA:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working within a primary school setting
- Experience supporting EAL learners
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to deliver targeted intervention programmes effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
