Summary

This role will support the clinical delivery and ongoing development of cancer prehabilitation and rehabilitation services across tumour pathways within South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Specialist Physiotherapist to support the extension of the Trusts cancer prehabilitation service which is currently established within Head & Neck and Lung cancer pathways, into colorectal cancer pathways. The post holder will provide specialist physiotherapy assessment, treatment and exercise-based prehabilitation and rehabilitation interventions, while working closely with and supporting the Prehabilitation Lead. The role will include providing specialist physiotherapy input within tumour groups, support the supervision of the Prehabilitation Assistant Practitioner, pathway development, and contribution to research, service evaluation and quality improvement including supporting workforce development across the cancer care pathway.
