The school year is back in full swing... and the demand for SEN Teaching Assistants is already starting to grow.Last year, Hays Education supported secondary schools across Huddersfield with a huge number of long-term SEN and behaviour support placements due to staff sickness, increased EHCP demand and additional learning support requirements. Many of these roles arose at very short notice, with schools needing reliable staff to start immediately.

With the same trend beginning to emerge this academic year, we're looking to get on the front foot and register outstanding SEN Teaching Assistants now, so they're fully cleared and ready to step into exciting long-term opportunities as soon as they become available.

The RoleWe're looking for caring, resilient and positive individuals to support students with:

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Autism (ASC)

ADHD

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Behavioural challenges

Learning difficulties

You'll work closely with teachers, pastoral teams and SENCOs to help students engage in learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
