Summary

The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit a number of Pickers/Packers to work at our client's busy logistics warehouse, based on the docks in Millbrook, Southampton.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a people-friendly and well-established company. They promote internally, with regular opportunities to progress into a Forklift Driver or Team Leader, which will come with a pay increase!

Duties to include, but not limited to:

Picking stock from the warehouse using a scanner

Using a pump truck to move pallets of stock to the packing area

Packing, labelling and sorting stock ready to be dispatched

Using a computer system to print labels to put on the parcels

Reading pick sheets and labels for quantities and product codes

Preparing e-commerce orders to be sent to customers

Goods in/out

Assisting with all general warehouse duties

Heavy, physical work

Previous warehouse experience is not essential, but would be

highly advantageous.

Due to the nature of the role, all candidates

must have a good level of English and written and verbal communication.

This is for an immediate start, and an ongoing, full-time position. There is a possibility that the company will offer a permanent contract after a 12-week qualifying period, depending on performance and attendance.

This is to work on a two-week rotating shift pattern. You will do two weeks on the early shift, then two weeks on the late shift, and keep rotating on that basis.

The hours for the early shift are Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:00.

The hours for the late shift are Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 22:00.

The starting pay rate is £12.71 per hour.
