Our client is a well-established and growing precision engineering company supplying high-quality machined components to a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are seeking experienced

Machine Setters, CNC Lathe Operators, and Skilled Precision Engineering Staff to join their shop floor production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled engineers who take pride in producing precision components to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Setting and operating CNC lathes and associated machinery.

Producing precision engineered components to customer specifications and engineering drawings.

Tool setting, offsets, and machine adjustments.

Conducting first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Monitoring machine performance and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved.

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Working in accordance with company health and safety procedures.

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience setting and operating CNC lathes within a precision engineering environment. ESSENTIAL

Batch sizes range from 200 - 100,000

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Experience using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, and gauges. 1mm to 65 mm diameter.

Strong understanding of tolerances and quality standards.

Knowledge of Multi-Axis Turning Sliding & Fixed, Axis Miyano Models, Doosan Puma, Star Machines, Haas, Mazak or Siemens controls would be advantageous.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Desirable

Experience with CNC programming or editing programs.

Multi-axis machining experience.

Apprenticeship or engineering qualification.

Experience working within aerospace, automotive, medical, defence, or precision manufacturing sectors.
