Summary
Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a kind, reliable and patient Personal Assistant to provide support to a friendly young adult with autism. The role is to help him develop his independence, build confidence and provide practical support with everyday tasks in a calm and encouraging way.
Main Duties
Provide companionship and encourage social interaction.
Assist with searching for suitable job opportunities and completing job applications.
Help organise and complete paperwork, including correspondence and forms.
Support with planning, organisation and managing appointments where appropriate.
Encourage the development of independent living and organisational skills.
Provide reassurance and encouragement while respecting his pace and preferences.
Hours and Pay
3 hours per week.
Days and times to be agreed by mutual arrangement.
£13.45 per hour.
The role is subject to appropriate employment checks, including references and, where required, an enhanced DBS check.
