Job title: Learning Support Assistant Contract type: Fixed term until 31/08/2027Hours: 30 per week Working weeks: Term time + 5 INSET Salary: PATH 4 £26,429 FTE, £18,431 prorated About the roleWe are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join our forward thinking, dynamic team at Berrow Primary. This is an exciting opportunity within our SEND team, with the aim of supporting our students by enabling them to engage confidently and independently in their learning.Main duties and responsibilities include: Deliver classroom support for pupils, planned and supervised by teachers. Support colleagues by assisting with resource preparation, display and care and support of pupils including health care.Keep records of work in order to provide feedback and general support.Accurately record student records and liaise with colleagues, parents, carers and third parties when necessary. You understand that every student is unique and you’re ready to support them in reaching their full potential—academically, socially and emotionally.We’re looking for someone who:Has experience supporting pupils with individual needs, particularly those with SEN needsCan work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing needsIs confident delivering pre-planned lessons to small groupsBuilds strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and familiesIs a role model for professionalism, positivity, and careCommunicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writingIs committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young peopleHas a good general education (GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English or Level 2 equivalent)Ideally is First Aid trained, but this is not compulsory
