Summary
We are seeking to appoint a Grade 5 Teaching Assistant to join Eastern High. The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in our Support Centre. The Support Centre is a bespoke Step 3 provision for KS3 pupils within our school. It provides a safe haven for learners with complex behavioural, emotional and social needs which provides a nurturing environment that is designed to stabilise pupils, rebuild their confidence and support reintegration back into mainstream lessons. The provision enables the delivery of a consistent relationship focused approach that combines calm communication and trauma informed practice. The role requires the successful candidate to deliver targeted EHW interventions which will provide students with strategies to self-regulate and enable them to engage in a broad and balanced curriculum. Alongside this, the Support Centre provides a bespoke core curriculum, delivered in partnership with mainstream subject staff, ensuring learners continue to access high‑quality teaching while receiving the additional support they need.For candidates looking to grow their expertise in EHW, ALN and behaviour support, this position offers key training to further develop your skills within these key areas.
