Summary
Finance Team at St Bede’sOur finance team are seeking an organised team player to join them to assist in the running of the school shop and provide administrative support for school trips and lettings. The appointed person will work Monday - Friday 09:30-14:30, plus two weeks during the school holidays.School shopOur school shop serves the school community selling specific items of school uniform which are not available elsewhere, assisting parents and carers with the provision of school uniform and other essential items that may be relevant to school life, such as specialist equipment, materials and curriculum textbooks. Duties include speaking to school shop suppliers, managing stock and orders, dealing with queries, refunds and lost property. School tripsIn addition to the above the appointed person will be required to work as part of the administration team which plans and manages both school trips and lettings. At St Bede's, we believe that it is vital that students have as many chances as possible to learn new skills and have enriching experiences outside as well as inside the classroom and we organise over 80 school trips and events, ranging from theatre trips and local day visits, to overseas residential trips. LettingsWe have a range of facilities at St Bede's that we are happy to make available for use by our local community, regularly hiring out areas such as the Sports Hall, All Weather Pitch and Drama Studio amongst others. Working alongside another person to ensure an efficient and seamless lettings provision with consistent communication internally and externally, answering queries timely, making ad hoc adjustments to bookings and collecting and recording all necessary paperwork. Support staff are valued members of the school community and fill vital roles. They are respected for the expertise they bring to their area of work. St Bede’s supports the professional development of its staff and takes staff wellbeing very seriously.Annual salary reflects the contractual hours and weeks per year and is calculated using a Surrey Pay formula which includes payment in respect of statutory annual leave allowances. Salary is paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.There is no entitlement to take leave during term time. All holidays must be taken during school breaks.
