Job Advert
Are you an experienced National or Key Account Manager who knows how to turn major client relationships into long-term partnerships?
Do you enjoy owning complex, multi-site accounts and finding opportunities to grow revenue?
Could you bring together multiple services and brands to create a better experience for some of the UK's largest organisations?
Impact Futures Group have an exciting opportunity to join our commercial team as National Accounts Manager.
This is a remote role with occasional travelling for meetings.
The Role
At Impact Futures Group, we train people who look after other people.
Across our three training brands, we support organisations across health and social care, education, early years and commercial sectors, working with some of the largest employers in the UK.
We’re now looking for a National Accounts Manager to take ownership of our largest and most complex client relationships at group level.
Currently, a large employer might work with one of our brands for first aid training, another for statutory and mandatory training, and another for clinical skills. The National Accounts Manager will bring those relationships together — creating a simpler experience for our clients while identifying opportunities to grow partnerships across the wider group.
This is a senior individual contributor role with one direct report, with accountability for the revenue, retention and growth of a defined portfolio of national accounts.
You’ll be the person those clients know, trust and call first.
What you'll be doing
Own and develop national accounts
- Take overall commercial ownership of a defined portfolio of national accounts across our three brands.
- Build and maintain strategic account plans covering spend, renewal dates, decision makers, risks and growth opportunities.
- Act as the senior point of contact for your clients, including when challenges arise.
- Run structured account reviews, demonstrating the value we deliver rather than simply focusing on volume booked.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders and decision makers.
Grow revenue across the group
- Identify and convert cross-brand opportunities, introducing existing clients to the wider group offering.
- Lead responses to large tenders, frameworks and multi-site agreements, bringing together specialists from across the business.
- Negotiate pricing, terms and service levels within agreed commercial parameters.
- Maintain an accurate and commercially realistic CRM pipeline, including values, stages and expected close dates.
- Identify opportunities to increase spend, expand services and develop strategic partnerships.
Protect deliverability
- Work closely with Operations, Quality and Compliance before making commitments around volume, timescales or specialist requirements.
- Ensure what is sold can be delivered to the expected standard and margin.
- Own the handover into delivery and remain visible to the client throughout mobilisation on major accounts.
Represent the group
- Act as an ambassador for our brands at client meetings, industry events and within the wider sector.
- Build credibility across health and social care, education and commercial environments.
- Share market intelligence, competitor activity and client requirements with our commercial and marketing teams.
- Represent the group and individual brands appropriately when working with clients across multiple businesses.
You’ll be joining a leading national training provider at an exciting time of growth and expansion, working in a fun and supportive environment in an organisation with a strong focus on people and culture.
Expect regular catch-ups and socials with your team, surprises in the post and company-wide social events- we’re a friendly bunch!

- Comfortable presenting and demonstrating products to prospective customers.
- Self-motivated and able to work towards monthly and annual targets.
- Positive, adaptable and willing to get stuck in with a genuine can-do attitude.
- IT literate, with experience using Microsoft Office and ideally HubSpot or another CRM system.
- Quick to learn new products, processes and systems.
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and understanding how this contributes to customer retention and revenue growth.
What will success look like?
Within your first 12 months, we’ll be looking for you to:
- Deliver revenue and margin against the national accounts target.
- Retain key accounts and secure renewals ahead of expiry.
- Increase the number of clients buying services from more than one of our brands.
- Have a clear, current account plan in place for every account in your portfolio.

- Support your direct report to perform against target and develop professionally.
- Ensure there are no major delivery failures resulting from commitments made during the sales process.
Your first 90 days
Your first three months will be about getting close to the clients and understanding the opportunity.
